Use the Flight Status integration. It connects Pushwoosh to AeroDataBox, a flight-data provider, so a journey can watch a passenger's flight and react when it changes: a new gate, a delay, boarding, departure, arrival, cancellation, or a baggage belt assignment.
You'll need:
- An application in Pushwoosh's NUE data center. Flight Status isn't available in other data centers yet.
- An AeroDataBox account and API key. The feed is billed on your own AeroDataBox account.
- A booking event with the flight's carrier, number, date, and departure airport.
- A dedicated API Access token for the journey.
- Help from your developers to send the booking event and build the Webhook request body.
How it works:
- Connect your key in Settings → 3rd-party integrations: find the Flight Status card, click Configure, paste the key into API key, and click Connect.
- The booking event enters the passenger into a journey.
- A Webhook step right after the entry subscribes the booking to its flight.
- Each change arrives as a
PW_FlightStatusChangedevent. Use Wait for Trigger and Condition split on itsevent_typeattribute to send the right message.
A subscription ends automatically 36 hours after the local departure date, or sooner once the flight lands or is cancelled.
