The webhook node sends data to your server and records if the request succeeded. It shows whether your system received the data, but it cannot track what happens after that. You will not see delivery, open, or click rates in the journey report for these nodes.
You can track these metrics manually using custom events:
- Create custom events in the event manager for actions like messageopened or linkclicked.
- Set up your external system to send a request to the /postEvent API when someone opens the message or clicks a link.
These events appear under the events section in the audience tab. You can use them to build segments or start other journeys, but they do not populate the standard email reporting dashboard. For automatic tracking in the main dashboards, use an email node with a supported provider.
