In the journey's Push element, turn on Send to last active device. The push then goes only to the device with the most recent app open under the user's ID.
This option and Send to all user devices (from UserID) are mutually exclusive: turning one on turns the other off.
Example: a user has a phone and a tablet linked to the same User ID and last opened the app on the tablet.
- With Send to all user devices (from UserID), both the phone and the tablet get the push, so the user sees two notifications.
- With Send to last active device, only the tablet gets it.
The same toggle is available when you send a one-time push.
