In the Webhook element, set up Response mapping: a Path to the field in the response (for example, data.user.id) and an Attribute name. Pushwoosh stores the value as a variable you can use later in the same journey in Update user profile, Time Delay, and content personalization.
- Save it as a Tag: add Update user profile, click + Dynamic Value in Dynamic Tag Value, pick the Tag, select the webhook step by name in Event, and the attribute in Dynamic Value.
- Wait until a date from the response: in Time Delay, select Based on user/event data, set Get date from to Event, pick the webhook step and the attribute.
- Branch on it: Condition split can't use a webhook value directly because it has no type. Save it as a Tag of the matching type first, then compare that Tag.
Things to know:
- If the value is missing, Update user profile skips the Tag update and the journey continues; Time Delay stops the user with an error.
- Responses larger than 64 KB aren't processed for mapping.
- Use
*in Path to map array items; at most the first 50 elements are mapped. - Run Test webhook before launch and check the response against each Path in Calls log.
