In the journey's In-App element, set Show in-app to On event.
- On next app launch (default): if the app is open, the message is shown right away; otherwise, the next time the user opens the app.
- On event: the message is shown in the same session, right after the user triggers the event you select.
To set it up:
- Select On event.
- Select the event that shows the in-app message.
- Optional: click Add condition to filter the event by its attributes.
Things to know:
- The message reacts only to events that happen after the user reaches the In-App element. Earlier events don't trigger it.
- If the event doesn't happen within the In-app expiration period (1 to 7 days, 7 by default), the message isn't shown.
- You can't save the element in On event mode until an event is selected and its conditions are complete.
- In a running journey, open the In-App element details to see the event under Shown on event.
