Use the optional date range in the geozone's Campaign schedule section. Entry actions fire only while the geozone is active, so you don't need to remember to turn the campaign off after a holiday promo or a limited-time store opening.
- Go to Campaigns → Geo campaigns and create or open a geozone.
- In Campaign schedule, set Runs from (the first day the geozone can fire) and Runs until (the last day it can fire).
- Choose Always active to fire around the clock within those dates, or On selected days and hours to limit firing to set hours on chosen weekdays.
- Click Save.
Things to know:
- Both dates are inclusive. The geozone keeps firing through the end of the Runs until day.
- The date range works together with the weekly mode, not instead of it.
- Dates and weekly hours use the schedule's time zone, taken from your browser's time zone when you save the geozone. Save from the time zone the campaign should follow. A brand-new Always active geozone uses UTC until you edit and save it at least once.
- Send push, Fire event, and other entry actions follow the schedule. Fire exit event, Fire dwell event, and Assume exit after silence follow the visit, so they can still fire after the window closes if the device entered while it was open.
