Push stories turn an expanded iOS push notification into a full-screen, Instagram-style stories experience: full-bleed images, auto-advancing pages, and a button on each page.
Before you send them, your iOS team needs to add a Notification Content Extension with the PushwooshNotificationUI module and release an app update that includes it. Recipients without that update see a regular push with the title, subtitle, and message from the preset, without the story images.
To send push stories:
- Build the story pages in a push preset (see Build push stories content in the docs).
- Send them in one of two ways:
- One-time push: go to Campaigns → One-time messages → Send message → One-time push and select or create Push stories content. The Target platforms list locks to iOS for this send.
- Journey: select Push stories content in the Push element. The element shows the app requirements in a banner.
Push stories render only on iOS.
