Can I build a segment from a list of emails, phone numbers, HWIDs, or push tokens?

Yes. The User ID filter in the segment builder can match by other identifiers, not only Pushwoosh User IDs.

1. Go to Audience → Segments and click Create Segment.
2. In Add filter by, click User ID.
3. Choose the identifier: User ID, HWID, Email, Phone, or Token.
4. Choose the operator: in and not in take a list of values; starts with, contains, and ends with take a single value.
5. Add the values and click Save. To target every device of a matching user, use Include all of a user's devices.

Things to know:

• Use identifiers that already exist in your project.
• Enter phone numbers in E.164 format, for example +15551234567.
• Email is compared in lowercase. Token is case-sensitive and matches the push token shown in User Explorer, not FCM sender keys or web push keys.
• For HWID, Email, Phone, and Token, each device is checked separately: a user matches if any one of their devices matches. With not in, one device outside the list is enough to match.
• Segments saved before the operators existed are read as in.

To upload User IDs or HWIDs from a file instead, use Import a segment.
