Yes. You can add an image to push notifications for iOS, Android, Huawei, and web (Chrome). Supported formats are JPG, JPEG, PNG, and GIF.
In the Control Panel
- Open the push preset in Content → Push presets.
- Turn on the Media content toggle.
- In Banner URL, paste the image URL or pick an image you've uploaded to the Media store. You can also set an Icon.
- Check the preview and save the preset.
See Add media content.
iOS requires an app-side setup
iOS shows images only if the app includes a Notification Service Extension that downloads the attachment. Your developers can set it up with the iOS rich notifications integration guide. Without the extension, iOS users see the notification without the image.
Via API
With the Messaging API v2, set the image in each platform's block:
- iOS:
"ios": {"attachment": "https://example.com/image.png"} - Android and Huawei:
"android": {"banner": "https://example.com/banner.png"}(and the same inhuawei_android) - Chrome:
"chrome": {"image": "https://example.com/banner.png"}
With the legacy /createMessage, use ios_attachment together with "ios_root_params": {"aps": {"mutable-content": 1}}, plus android_banner, huawei_android_banner, and chrome_image.
