How do I move message presets when cloning a customer journey to another app?

Moving message presets during the cloning process depends on what you pick in the What to do with the content in this campaign? dropdown of the Clone campaign dialog. You can clone into the current project or into up to 5 Destination projects at once.

Clone presets automatically

Choose Keep messages content if you want to copy all message content to the new project. The system makes copies of every preset from the original journey and attaches them to the matching nodes in the cloned journey. Use this method to mirror a journey without needing to set up each node yourself.

Each destination project gets its own copy of the presets. Editing a preset later applies to all campaigns inside that one project only — preset changes never sync across projects.

Use presets already in the target project

Choose Clear messages content if you want to use presets that are already saved in the destination project. This copies the journey structure but leaves all message nodes empty. You have to open every Push or Email node in the cloned journey and pick the correct preset from your list. The system does not automatically link existing presets to a new structure.

Update multiple projects

To push updates from a master journey to other projects, follow these steps:

1. Delete the old journey in the target project.
2. Clone the master journey again.
3. Make sure Keep messages content is selected.

This process replaces the structure and the message content at the same time.
