If you want a Journey to target only those users who have performed a specific action (e.g., viewed a particular screen, used a feature, or saw a paywall), the most efficient method is to use that action as the entry trigger for the Journey itself.
This is more direct than starting a Journey for a broad audience and then immediately using a "Wait for trigger" or "Segment Split" element to filter them. By using the specific event as the entry point, you ensure that only relevant users enter the Journey from the very beginning.
To set this up, simply configure the Journey's entry trigger to be the specific event you want to track. For example, if the Journey is for users who have viewed a paywall, set the entry trigger to be the event that fires when the paywall is displayed. This way, you won't need an extra step inside the Journey to check for this condition.
