Message stats and journey statistics show the custom events your app sent after users clicked a message.
- One-time push: open the push's Message stats, go to the Timeline tab, and see the Events table under the chart. It shows Event, Hits, and Unique for each event.
- Journey: open the journey statistics, Communications, and find the Events block under the channel tabs. Click a row to see which steps brought the event.
How events are credited:
- Each event goes to the message the user last clicked within the 72 hours before the event. One event goes to one message only.
- Clicks on all messages of the same app count, so a click on a later message takes the credit.
- Events are matched by User ID, not by device.
- What counts as a click depends on the channel: opening a push, opening an App Inbox message, clicking an email link (not the unsubscribe link), or reading a WhatsApp message. SMS has no clicks, so SMS steps bring no events.
The time range filters events, not clicks: a click before the start of the range still counts for an event inside it.
If the table is empty, either no events followed clicks in the period or your app doesn't send custom events to Pushwoosh. You can't turn event tracking on from Message stats; ask your developers.
