The Recipients metric in Statistics > Project statistics counts devices with enabled push notifications. It does not count unique users (UserIDs). Consequently, if a single individual has multiple devices connected, they will be counted multiple times.
While there is no direct metric in the dashboard to view the exact total of unique contactable users, you can configure Segments to ensure you only contact each user once (user-centric delivery):
- Navigate to Segments.
- Create a new segment or edit an existing one.
- Uncheck the option Include all user's devices.
Note: Even with this setting unchecked, the Segment size displayed is calculated based on devices that meet the conditions. It should be treated as an estimate of reach rather than a precise count of unique UserIDs.
