To create a journey that continuously adds users who meet specific segment criteria (for example, in a re-engagement campaign), you must configure a schedule for each segment-based entry point.
Without a schedule, a segment-based entry point only runs once when the journey is first launched. It will only add users who match the segment's conditions at that specific moment.
By adding a schedule (e.g., daily or weekly), you instruct the system to regularly check for new users who qualify for the segment and add them to the journey.
How Different Entry Types Work
- Segment-Based Entry: Requires a schedule to run continuously and add new users over time.
- Event-Based Entry: Does not need a schedule. It is triggered automatically to add a user as soon as they perform the specified event.
Re-entering a Journey
Yes, a user can re-enter a journey after they have completed and exited it. They can re-enter through any entry point they qualify for, as long as no "Campaign Entry Limit" is configured for the journey. A user cannot be active in the same journey more than once simultaneously.
