Yes. When a user sends you a WhatsApp message, Pushwoosh fires the default event PW_WhatsAppReceived. If the user shares their current location, the event carries it:
- latitude (number): latitude of the shared location.
- longitude (number): longitude of the shared location.
- message (string): for location messages, the coordinates as
"latitude,longitude", for example"55.751244,37.618423".
latitude and longitude are included only when the user shares their current location, so other incoming messages don't have them.
Use PW_WhatsAppReceived as a journey trigger to react to incoming messages, and use the latitude and longitude attributes to run location-based journeys. You can also segment users by their WhatsApp message interactions.
