You can use Amazon SNS as your SMS provider. To set this up, send a request to our support team with your AWS account details.
Include these items in your request:
- Access Key ID
- Secret Access Key (the IAM user needs
sns:Publishpermissions) - AWS Region (for example,
us-east-1) - Sender ID or Origination Number
If you send messages to the US or Canada, you must have a 10DLC, Short Code or Toll-Free number. You request the number and complete registration yourself, in the AWS End User Messaging SMS console (the SMS, MMS and voice features formerly branded Amazon Pinpoint) or through the SMS and Voice v2 API, before you start sending. Note that AWS ends support for the Amazon Pinpoint console on 30 October 2026 — number and 10DLC management lives in AWS End User Messaging from then on.
Local carriers block messages that do not meet these registration requirements.
