A processor decline indicates that your bank has refused the transaction request. There are two types of declines: hard and soft.
Hard declines are the result of an error or issue which can't be resolved immediately. Contact your bank to resolve the issue before retrying the transaction.
Soft declines are the result of a temporary issue. Retrying the provided payment method information may be successful.
The most common reasons for declines are:
- Incorrect credit card number or expiration date
- Insufficient funds
- The bank declined based on location
- The bank's fraud rules blocked the transaction

| 2010 | Card Issuer Declined CVV | An invalid security code has been entered, or there is a typo in the card info. Please re-enter the info; our system will attempt the transaction automatically. If the decline persists, please contact your bank. | Hard |
| 2015 | Transaction Not Allowed | The bank is declining the transaction for unspecified reasons, possibly due to an issue with the card itself. Please contact your bank or try another payment method. | Hard |
| 2038 | Processor Declined | The bank is unwilling to accept the transaction. Reasons vary — please contact your bank for more information. | Soft |
| 2046 | Declined | The bank is unwilling to accept the transaction. For credit/debit card transactions, contact your bank about this generic decline; if this is a PayPal transaction, please contact PayPal. | Soft |
