Our system helps manage your list hygiene automatically to protect your sender reputation:
- Hard Bounces: a permanent failure, such as the address not existing. The address is tagged with Bounced Email, added to the internal bounced list and excluded from all further sends; re-registering it is also blocked. You do not need to do anything manually. Note that the profile is not deleted — you will still find it in Audience → User Explorer, marked as bounced.
- Soft Bounces: a temporary issue, such as a full mailbox or a receiving-server error. The address is not suppressed, as the problem may be resolved later.
Bounce rates are also tracked at account level: a sustained hard-bounce or spam-complaint rate above the allowed limit disables email sending for the application until the list is cleaned up.
