To ensure proper email deliverability when using Pushwoosh alongside other email services (e.g., Microsoft 365, Salesforce), you must add Pushwoosh as an authorized sender within your single, existing SPF record. A domain can only have one SPF record; having multiple records will cause validation failures.
Follow these steps to correctly configure your SPF record:
Locate your existing SPF record in your domain's DNS settings. It will start with
v=spf1.Add the Pushwoosh
includestatement to your record. The value for Pushwoosh isinclude:spf.pushwoosh.io.Merge the statements. Place the Pushwoosh
includealongside your other services, before the~allor-allpart of the record.
Example Scenarios:
If you only use Pushwoosh, your SPF record should be:
v=spf1 include:spf.pushwoosh.io ~allIf you use Pushwoosh and another service (e.g., Microsoft 365), you must merge them into one line:
v=spf1 include:spf.protection.outlook.com include:spf.pushwoosh.io ~all
Important Considerations:
- Do not create a new, separate SPF record for Pushwoosh. Always modify your existing one.
- The SPF specification allows for a maximum of 10 DNS lookups (which includes mechanisms like
include:). Ensure your combined record does not exceed this limit.
Correctly adding Pushwoosh to your SPF record authorizes our servers to send emails on your behalf, which is essential for preventing your emails from being marked as spam and for maintaining a good sender reputation.
