Native in-apps use ready-made layouts that the Pushwoosh SDK renders directly on the device, instead of loading an HTML page. They load faster, animate more smoothly, and need no design or coding skills to build.
- Go to Content → In-apps.
- Click the arrow next to Create in-app and choose Native in-app.
- Enter a template name and pick a Display type: modal, fullscreen, stories, sheet, carousel, banner, or video. Switching the type later resets all fields, so choose it first.
- Fill in Content, Config, and Actions while watching the live mobile preview, then click Save.
Use the template to send an instant in-app, add an in-app step to a Customer Journey, or open it when a user taps a push.
SDK requirements:
| Display type | iOS SDK | Android SDK |
|---|---|---|
| modal, fullscreen, stories | 7.2.0+ | 6.10.0+ |
| sheet, carousel, banner | 7.2.1+ | 6.10.1+ |
| video | 7.2.0+ | 6.11.0+ |
Flutter bundles the native in-app module. React Native, Cordova, Capacitor, Unity, and Expo don't: add pushwoosh-inapp-ui (Android) and PushwooshInApp (iOS) to the native projects. Web isn't supported. For full control over the design, build an HTML-based in-app instead.
