Every time you save a push preset or email template, Pushwoosh keeps a new version. Each keeps its last 20 versions, on every account.
To compare or restore a version: open Version history next to Save in the push or email content editor.
- Compare shows two versions side by side.
- Restore brings back an earlier version. Nothing is saved until you click Save.
- Push preset: restores the text. Media, actions, and settings stay as they are.
- Email template: restores the HTML content, locale variants, and theme, but not the styling and footer from the Settings tab.
To require approval before sending: ask Pushwoosh support to turn on the Require content approval restriction for your account. Then:
- Give reviewers the Approve messages permission (in the Messages group of a role).
- Editors click Submit for approval. The status changes to On approval.
- Reviewers open Content → Push Presets or Email content, then the Pending approval tab, and click Approve or Reject (a reason is required). A reviewer can't approve their own submission.
With approval on, only an Approved version can be sent. Editing approved content turns it back into a Draft. No email is sent when something is submitted, so check the Pending approval tab.
Versioning and approval cover push presets and email templates only.
