This issue occurs when you insert text-based "shortcodes" (such as :crossed_swords: or :smile:) instead of actual Unicode emoji characters. The system supports standard UTF-8 emojis but does not automatically convert text codes into graphical emojis.
To ensure emojis display correctly on devices, please use one of the following methods:
- Copy and Paste the Symbol: When copying from an external source (like Slack or a website), ensure you copy the actual visual emoji character (e.g., ⚔️, ❄️), not the text code.
- Use the Built-in Picker: Use the emoji selection tool provided within the message editor interface to insert the correct characters.
