If a push notification’s status stays WAITING after its scheduled time, it is almost always because the message was scheduled in each subscriber’s own timezone.
When you schedule a message and pick Subscriber’s device timezone (rather than Custom timezone) in the scheduling step, Pushwoosh delivers it to each user at the specified local time. The system sends the notifications progressively, hour by hour, as the scheduled time arrives in each timezone around the world.
The overall message status therefore stays WAITING until the last timezone has been covered. Once it has, the status changes to DONE. Nothing is stuck — your notifications are being delivered as intended.
For reference, the neighbouring statuses in Campaigns → One-time messages (Message History) are:
- SCHEDULED — the send time has not arrived yet; the message can still be edited or canceled.
- PROCESSING — the message is currently being sent.
- DONE — sending completed.
