The High priority in-app setting ensures your in-app message is downloaded and displayed to the user instantly as soon as its trigger event occurs, even if it happens right after the app launches.
When this option is enabled, the message is given top priority, bypassing the standard queue. To guarantee immediate display, the SDK may briefly pause the app's user interface for a few seconds while the message content is downloaded.
Key Differences from Standard In-App Messages
- Standard In-Apps: Follow a sequential display order and can be delayed by network conditions or other app processes.
- High-Priority In-Apps: Are displayed immediately upon being triggered, overriding other in-app messages or queued notifications.
This feature is most effective for communications that require immediate user attention, such as urgent announcements, security alerts, or time-sensitive promotions.
Note: We recommend using high-priority messages selectively for truly important communications, as excessive use can be disruptive to the user experience.
