Open the user's profile in Audience → User Explorer and go to the Inbox tab. It shows what's currently stored in this user's Message Inbox. This is different from the Received messages tab, which lists everything ever sent to the user's devices.
Pushwoosh tracks the inbox by user, not by device: if the same User ID is linked to several devices, they all show the same inbox. Use Search to filter messages by title or text.
Each row shows:
- Message: the title (or a text preview if there's no title) and the platform it was sent to.
- Status: the inbox status of the message.
- Sent: when the message was sent, or –– if not available.
- Expires: the expiration date and time, Expired if that date has passed, or –– if the message has no expiration.
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Not delivered | The message hasn't reached the user's inbox yet. |
| Unread | Delivered, but the user hasn't opened it. |
| Opened | The user opened the message from the inbox. |
| Read | The user marked the message as read without opening it. |
| Deleted by user | The user removed the message from the inbox. |
| Deleted | Removed by other means, for example expiration cleanup. |
Opening User Explorer requires the Personal data permission in your role.
