An email preheader is the short summary text that follows the subject line when viewing an email in the inbox. It provides recipients with more context about the email's content before they open it.
The preheader is set in the bar above the editing canvas, not in the email body settings. The steps are the same in the Drag & Drop editor and the HTML code editor:
- Open your email content in the editor.
- Above the canvas, find the Subject line field.
- Directly below it, use the Preheader field to enter the summary text you want to appear after the subject line in the inbox.
- Optionally, click the Emoji icon next to the field to insert an emoji, or the AI icon to have the preheader generated from the email content you have already added.
- Click Save in the top bar.
If your email has more than one language, switch the editing language in the same bar above the canvas and set a subject line and preheader for each language.
