No. Both Apple Wallet and Google Wallet can be connected without them.
Apple Wallet with AI Assistant. You need the Admin or Account Holder role in your Apple Developer account. Then:
- Ask AI Assistant, for example,
Set up Apple Wallet for my app. It gives you a certificate signing request file. - Follow its steps to register a Pass Type ID and create the certificate in Apple Developer.
- Drop the
.cerfile from Apple into the chat. AI Assistant saves it, so you don't need a Mac, Keychain Access, or a.p12file.
AI Assistant then helps you design the first pass, and warns you when the certificate expires in 30 days or less.
Google Wallet with the Pushwoosh service account. You don't need your own Google Cloud project or a JSON key:
- In the Google Pay & Wallet Console, invite
wallet-issuer@pushwoosh-wallet.iam.gserviceaccount.comunder Users with Access level set to Developer. - In Pushwoosh, go to Settings → Configure platforms, open the Google Wallet setup in the Android row, enter your Issuer ID, and click Apply.
At least one person in the issuer's Users list must also be a user of your Pushwoosh account with the same email address. If you already use your own service account key, you can still upload it in Own service account key (JSON, optional).
The Google Wallet configuration is stored per application.
