To track your web push notification clicks in Google Analytics, you need to manually add the UTM parameters to the destination URL when creating your campaign.
Currently, there is no automatic setting to append UTM parameters to the click URL for web push notifications.
Here's how to do it:
When you are setting up your push notification, go to the Link field where you enter the destination URL. Append the UTM parameters directly to the end of your URL.
Example:
- Your original URL:
https://yourwebsite.com/product-page - Your URL with UTM parameters:
https://yourwebsite.com/product-page?utm_source=pushwoosh&utm_medium=web_push&utm_campaign=promo_name
By adding these parameters, Google Analytics will be able to correctly attribute the traffic coming from your web push campaigns.
