Apple Push Notification service (APNs) certificates are required for sending push notifications to iOS applications and they expire annually.
If your APNs certificate expires, push notifications will stop working for that specific iOS application.
To check the expiry date of your APNs certificate:
- Log in to your Pushwoosh Control Panel.
- Navigate to the specific application you want to check.
- Go to the iOS configuration section (usually found under platform settings or configuration).
- Pushwoosh displays the expiry date of the currently uploaded certificate on this page.
If your certificate has expired or is nearing expiry:
- You need to generate a new
.p12
certificate file from your Apple Developer account. - Upload the new certificate file to the corresponding application's iOS configuration page in the Pushwoosh Control Panel.
Important: * You must perform this check and update process for each of your iOS applications individually. * Pushwoosh cannot automatically update these certificates for you, as they must be generated from your secure Apple Developer account.
