You cannot delete a Tag or modify its type (e.g., change from String to Boolean) if it is currently being used as a dependency in other parts of your Pushwoosh setup.
Common dependencies include:
- Segments: The Tag is used as a filter condition in one or more Segments.
- Customer Journeys: The Tag is used in elements like "Update user profile", "Segment Split", or as part of a "Start by segment" entry trigger.
- Message Presets: The Tag might be used for dynamic content personalization.
To resolve this:
- Identify Where the Tag is Used: Carefully check your Segments (both filter conditions and names), active and inactive Customer Journeys, and any relevant Message Presets.
- Remove the Tag from Dependencies: You need to edit the components identified in step 1 and remove the Tag from their configuration. For example, remove the condition from a Segment filter or choose a different Tag in a Journey element.
- Retry Deletion/Modification: Once the Tag is no longer referenced by any Segments, Journeys, or Presets, navigate back to the Tags management section (Audience -> Tags) and you should be able to delete or modify the Tag.
