Supported media file types for iOS notification attachments include common audio, video and image formats. The table below lists the file types you can attach, the supported formats and the maximum size per type. An image file may contain a static image or an animated image sequence.

These limits come from iOS itself and apply to every current iOS version. To display attachments, the iOS Rich Notifications integration (Notification Service Extension) must be implemented in your application.
