When you schedule a push notification using a preset, the system sends the version of the content that exists in the preset at the time of sending, not the version that existed when you scheduled it.
A preset acts as a live template. Any changes you make to a preset will be reflected in all future scheduled pushes that are linked to it.
Example:
1. On Monday, you schedule a push for Friday using "Preset A". The message content is "Special Friday Sale!".
2. On Wednesday, you edit "Preset A" and change the message to "Final Day of Sale!". You save the preset. 3. When the push is sent on Friday, it will contain the message "Final Day of Sale!", as that is the most recent content saved in the preset.
Recommended Workflow
To schedule multiple pushes with different content, you should:
- Use separate presets: Create a unique preset for each distinct message you want to schedule. You can easily clone an existing preset to create a new one with minor changes.
- Edit after sending: You can safely edit a preset and schedule a new push with it after any previously scheduled pushes using that preset have already been sent.
