Deleting one of the Notification from notification tray-Android

I need to remove a notification from the user's notification tray by checking id. This means I will be sending a custom data "notification_id" to the app. If two notifications are having same 'notification_id' the old one will be deleted from the notification tray. How can I achieve this in Android?
